The IBCC 2026 field continued to deliver surprises on the fourth day of competition. Few would have thought that the result recorded on the first day would practically double by the third day, with the total catch reaching 7 tons, and then surpassing the 10-ton mark by the morning of day four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the drop in the number of catches was already noticeable. The performance of the field was significantly affected by the cold front moving in, which also had a clear impact on the fish\u2019s willingness to feed. As a result, competitors were able to land fewer fish than on previous days, yet the total result still continued to rise, clearly showing how serious the work on the banks has been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall competition remains extremely close. A fierce battle is unfolding among the top ten teams, and according to the current standings, Tropic RidgeMonkey Team Cz<\/strong> is in the lead. However, there is still a long way to go in the competition, so the ranking can keep changing, and in the coming days any single bite could create a new situation at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day, the crew visited several teams. On\u00a0peg 214<\/strong>,\u00a0Blankbrothers Austria<\/strong>\u00a0got off to a strong start, where the team landed its first fish: a\u00a024.50 kg carp<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Balatonf\u00f6ldv\u00e1r<\/strong>, at\u00a0Fesztiv\u00e1l Hotel<\/strong>, in the\u00a0SENZOR sector<\/strong>. This catch gave them a solid foundation for the continuation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also recorded memorable moments with the Danish\u00a0Specimen Baits<\/strong>\u00a0team fishing on\u00a0peg 257<\/strong>: for them, a\u00a024.4 kg catch<\/strong>\u00a0was truly a dream come true, bringing special joy at this stage of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our crew also visited\u00a0Cassovia Carp Team<\/strong>, competing on\u00a0peg 259<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Balatonvil\u00e1gos<\/strong>, at the\u00a0Municipal Beach<\/strong>, in the\u00a0KFISH sector<\/strong>. The team\u2019s total catch at that point stood at\u00a085.38 kg<\/strong>, with an average weight of\u00a014.23 kg<\/strong>, which also shows how consistent the performances in the field have been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
