Se g\u0103se\u015fte  \u00een toate b\u0103l\u0163ile de rev\u0103rsare de-a lungul  Dun\u0103rii, pe canalele dezafectate, dar  num\u0103rul cel mai mare de lini  tr\u0103ie\u015fte \u00een Delt\u0103. \u00cen r\u00e2uri este mai rar \u00eent\u00e2lnit,  pentru c\u0103 nu \u00eei plac  curen\u0163ii.<br \/>\nLinul poate fi recunoscut u\u015for dup\u0103 corpul  caracteristic, \u00eendesat,  foarte lat \u00een regiunea cozii, precum \u015fi dup\u0103 solzii  marun\u0163i cu care  este acoperit \u00een \u00eentregime. Corpul lui este protejat \u00eens\u0103 \u015fi de  un  strat gros de piele, cu o bogat\u0103 secre\u0163ie. Are gura mic\u0103, terminal\u0103, cu   maxilarul inferior ceva mai mare decat cel superior. Buzele sunt  groase, prev\u0103zute  cu o pereche de must\u0103\u0163i scurte, \u00eenot\u0103toarele au  marginile rotunjite \u015fi sunt c\u0103rnoase.<br \/>\nPrima radie a \u00eenot\u0103toarei ventrale a masculilor de lin este groas\u0103, \u00een  timp ce  cea a femelelor este mai sub\u0163ire, caracteristic\u0103 dup\u0103 care  sexele se pot  recunoa\u015fte u\u015for. Ochii sunt mici. Masculii sunt ceva mai  mici decat femelele de  lin de aceea\u015fi v\u00e2rst\u0103.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-648\" title=\"compo\" src=\"http:\/\/pv-tv.tv\/hun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/compo.jpg\" alt=\"compo\" width=\"430\" height=\"269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fishingandhuntingtv.com\/ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/compo.jpg 430w, https:\/\/fishingandhuntingtv.com\/ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/compo-300x187.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Linul nu cre\u015fte la  dimensiuni mari. Lungimea sa medie este de 25-40 cm,   iar greutatea medie de  0,5-1 kg. Mai rar poate atinge \u015fi lungimi de   60-70 cm, la o greutate de 2-3 kg. Linul cre\u015fte lent, de\u015fi are o mare   poft\u0103 de m\u00e2ncare.<br \/>\nLinul atinge maturitatea sexual\u0103 \u00een cel de-al treilea  sau al patrulea   an de via\u0163\u0103. Perioada sa de reproducere este extrem de lung\u0103,  dur\u00e2nd   chiar mai mult dec\u00e2t cea a carasului. Reproducerea \u00eencepe de obicei la    mijlocul lunii mai, c\u00e2nd temperatura apei se ridic\u0103 p\u00e2n\u0103 la 22-24\u00b0C \u015fi   dureaz\u0103  p\u00e2n\u0103 spre sf\u00e2r\u015fitul lunii august. Este unul dintre cei mai   prolifici pe\u015fti din  apele noastre, femelele de lin depun\u00e2nd circa   200000-600000 de boabe de icre cu  diametrul de 1 mm. Exemplarele cele   mai mari pot depune chiar peste un milion  de icre, bine\u00een\u0163eles pe   parcursul \u00eentregii perioade de reproducere.
