The second day of the XI. IBCC delivered everything carp anglers dream of: big fish, intense moments and fierce competition all around Lake Balaton.
Local team takes the lead
Team Balaton Carp from Keszthely had a fantastic night in Tihany, landing 7 fish and reaching a total weight of nearly 100 kg. What makes their performance stand out is that none of the 7 neighboring teams in the Tihany – Kastélyszálló area managed to catch a single fish so far.
New leader in the biggest fish competition
Team Conquer SK brought in a true giant: a 23.77 kg carp caught at Tobruk Beach, Balatonfűzfő. The catch was photographed alongside another impressive fish weighing over 21 kg. The team’s celebration was unforgettable!
Szigliget joins the big fish action
The Blankbrothers Austria team set the Mikbaits sector record so far with a 22.37 kg carp. Their catch is currently the third largest of the event. A beautifully captured photo also shows another carp weighing 11.7 kg.
Two yellow cards for rule violations
There were two sector violations reported on Day 2: teams at PEG 270 and PEG 113 received yellow cards and a 12-hour fishing suspension. Organizers remind all participants to stay alert and respect the rules.
