The world’s biggest carp fishing competition, the XI. International Balaton Carp Cup, officially ended on April 19, 2025, in an atmosphere of joy and recognition. The final award ceremony at Hotel Club Tihany brought together anglers, organizers, partners, and fans to honour an unforgettable week.
The closing event reflected the core values of the IBCC – sportsmanship, respect for nature, and international camaraderie.
Record-breaking results and double triumphs
ZEMNÍK–BODOVKA SLOVAKIA won two major titles:
– Biggest Fish: 32.25 kg
– Top 5 Total Weight: 114.64 kg
Both achievements came from the Bucovina sector at Pálköve.
The MIKBAITS & KRYSTON team secured the Overall Total Catch Weight Victory with 596.86 kg from 45 fish, fishing in Balatonederics – Mikbaits sector.
Rebel Baits claimed the silver medal with 585.78 kg, while GRUNTY.CZ came third with 551.01 kg.
Hungary’s AQVARIUS TEAM also shone:
– They caught the biggest mirror carp at 24.95 kg
– And placed 2nd in the Top 5 Total Weight category with 106.81 kg, fishing in Balatonakali.
