A strong start on Day 2: nearly half the field has already caught fish

By early this morning – (20.04.), the first reports had already come in that teams had started landing fish, and some remarkable results were recorded right away.

Competing from peg 38 in Ábrahámhegy, Team Balaton Carp Cup caught three carp over 20 kilograms, two of which even surpassed the 25 kg mark.

Throughout the day, the marshals were continuously at work, as new catch reports kept arriving one after another. Last year’s winner, Mikbaits & Kryston, also checked in, with six fish and a total catch weight of 85 kilograms.

Not long afterwards, another outstanding report arrived from the southern shore: Baguiro Carp Team, fishing from peg 248, landed a carp weighing over 29 kilograms.

During the day, the storm warning changed several times, which teams had to monitor continuously. At several locations, it was clear that competitors had switched to casting methods, as conditions did not allow them to use their usual rigs.

By the end of the day, it could be said that nearly half of the field had already caught fish and started their campaign with meaningful catches. All signs suggest that the 12th IBCC still has a dynamic and exciting continuation ahead.
